Suzanne was a wonderful woman who I have learnt a huge amount from. It has been fantastic to see her so happy after her courageous career swap. Studying at Cuddesdon, she was so joyful surrounded by books and new ideas to pour over. Suzanne was fiercely intelligent and intellectually curious, but always generous with her knowledge and experience.
However Suzanne really flourished when socialising, and family parties will never quite sparkle the same as they did when her distinctive laugh chorused over the top of the chatter. It has been great fun to get to know her as an adult, and we are hugely saddened at all of the evenings and events with her, big and small, that we will never get to enjoy.
Suzanne was a person who resonated through the lives of those who knew her best. She will live on in the memories of her many friends, but also as an inspiration in five very different ways through her five children and step-children. For me, I will continue to be inspired by her quick thinking, her decisiveness, her joy in friends’ company, and her generosity. I hope we can all live up to the example of courage and dignity, of success and of happiness, which she has set.
